Spain - Malgrat de Mar & Barcelona

Experience an unforgettable journey to Malgrat de Mar, combining Mediterranean relaxation, vibrant nightlife, and exciting adventures along Spain’s Costa Brava. Explore the highlights of Barcelona with an experienced local tour guide, while enjoying plenty of free time to discover Malgrat de Mar at your own pace. From relaxing on the beach to optional excursions to Montserrat or Andorra, this trip offers the perfect mix of sightseeing, leisure, culture, and fun.

Itinerary (subject to change)

Day 1:

6:00 PM – Departure from Wiesbaden-Hainerberg, Washington St. / J.F. Kennedy St. intersection, bus waiting area (off post).

7:15 PM  – Departure from Kaiserslautern Daennerplatz, opposite Kleber Kaserne, Park & Ride lot. No Parking fee.

7:45 PM – Departure from Ramstein Shell Autohof, bus parking lot. Parking fee: not included.

Day 2:

After the overnight journey, we arrive in Malgrat de Mar, one of the popular destinations on Spain’s Costa Brava. Once we arrive, we will check in at the hotel and have time to settle into our rooms, freshen up, and relax after the long journey. The remainder of the day is dedicated to getting to know Malgrat de Mar. Take a leisurely walk through the town, discover the beautiful Mediterranean coastline, explore the lively promenade, or simply relax on the beach. There will also be plenty of opportunities to enjoy a coffee, lunch, or a first taste of the local cuisine at one of the many restaurants and cafés. In the evening, enjoy a dinner at the hotel, included in the trip package. This is a great opportunity to relax and recharge after the long journey. After dinner, the evening is yours to experience the nightlife of Malgrat de Mar. 

Day 3:

Start the day with a breakfast at the hotel, included in the trip package. After breakfast, we depart for a full-day excursion to Barcelona, the vibrant capital of Catalonia. Barcelona combines fascinating history, Mediterranean flair, impressive architecture, shopping, art, and a unique city atmosphere. During our visit, we will be accompanied by an experienced local tour guide, who will introduce us to the history and culture of the city and show us some of its most famous sights. Depending on the final route and traffic conditions, highlights may include the spectacular Sagrada Família, Passeig de Gràcia, Casa Batlló, Plaça de Catalunya, Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, Port Vell, and other famous landmarks. The guided portion of the tour will provide an excellent overview of Barcelona while still allowing time for individual exploration. During your free time, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or tapas bar, go shopping, explore the historic streets, visit a café, or simply take in the atmosphere of this fascinating city. In the late afternoon or early evening, we will meet again and return by coach to Malgrat de Mar. Back in Malgrat de Mar, enjoy another dinner at the hotel, included in the trip package. After dinner, the evening is free to relax or enjoy another night in town.

Day 4:

Enjoy a breakfast at the hotel, included in the trip package, before starting your day. Today is all about relaxation, personal time, and enjoying Spain at your own pace. For those who want a relaxing vacation day, Malgrat de Mar offers beautiful beaches, clear Mediterranean water, a scenic coastline, cafés, restaurants, and plenty of opportunities to simply slow down and enjoy the surroundings. Sleep in, spend the day at the beach, take a walk along the promenade, or explore the shops and streets of the town. For those looking for more adventure, an optional excursion to Montserrat (extra) can be offered. The spectacular mountain range is home to the famous Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat and offers breathtaking views across Catalonia. It is an excellent choice for anyone interested in history, culture, nature, and photography. Another possible option is an optional day trip to Andorra (extra). Located in the Pyrenees between Spain and France, Andorra offers impressive mountain scenery, sightseeing, shopping, and a completely different experience from the Mediterranean coast. After a relaxing day or an exciting excursion, return to the hotel and enjoy a dinner included in the trip package. After dinner, enjoy our final evening in Spain. Take a final walk along the beach or enjoy a drink with friends one more time before our journey home.

Day 5:

Start our final day with a breakfast at the hotel, included in the trip package. After breakfast, it is time to check out of the hotel and prepare for our journey back to Germany. As we leave Malgrat de Mar and the Costa Brava behind, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride through Spain and France toward Germany. Appropriate rest stops will be made along the route in accordance with the driver's required driving and rest periods.

TOUR PRICE INCLUDES: Guaranteed pick ups from Wiesbaden, Kaiserslautern and Ramstein. SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT: € 200 for 3 overnights. Persons booked on share basis must pay single room supplement after the tour if no share is available. Share basis means double or triple occupancy.

CHILDREN ’S PRICE: children under the age of 2: € 299, children age 2-11, € 699

CANCELLATION CHARGES for bus tours:  up to 30 days prior to departure, € 125 per person will be charged; 29-15 days prior to departure, 50% of the tour price will be charged; 14-7 days prior to departure, 75% of the tour price will be charged; 6-3 days prior to departure, 90% of the tour price will be charged; 2 days prior to departure until the day of departure, 100% of the tour price will be charged! NO REFUND FOR NOSHOWS!
