DAY 1:
- 00:30 am: Depart from Böblingen Panzerkaserne, PX parking lot
- 01:15 am: Depart from Ramstein Shell Autohof
- 01:45 am: Depart from Kaiserslautern Daennerplatz
- 03:00 am: Depart from Wiesbaden, Hainerberg Washington Str. corner J.F. Kennedy Str., bus waiting area (off post)
Sit back and relax as we travel overnight to the Netherlands, including a convenient coffee stop to stretch your legs and recharge. Along the way, we’ll make a short visit to a traditional wooden shoe factory, where you can watch the fascinating process of transforming a simple block of wood into classic Dutch clogs. After some cheese tasting and souvenir shopping at this unique cultural stop, we continue on to the vibrant and charming city of Amsterdam.
Upon arrival, you’ll have free time to explore the city at your own pace. At 5:00 pm, the festival officially comes to life as the lights are switched on. Experience the magic of the Amsterdam Light Festival, featuring 20 breathtaking light artworks displayed throughout the historic city center. You may choose to walk the 6.5 km route, which takes approximately 1.5 hours and allows you to view the complete exhibition up close, or you can join our special 75-minute canal cruise (extra), offering a unique perspective of the illuminated installations from a comfortable, glass-covered boat.
In the evening, enjoy free time for dinner at one of Amsterdam’s many restaurants or cafés, and take in the city’s lively nightlife. At approximately 10:30 pm, we’ll regroup and begin our return journey back to Germany.
DAY 2:
We’ll make a few stops en route and arrive early in the morning at the original departure points.
