Enjoy a charming 6-day journey through the heart of the United Kingdom, combining scenic beauty with rich cultural heritage. From the historic streets of York to the royal elegance of Edinburgh, the cozy village atmosphere of Pitlochry, the legendary halls of Stirling Castle, and a visit to Alnwick Castle, a famous Harry Potter filming location. DAY 1:
07:00 am departure from Böblingen, Panzerkaserne PX parking lot. 08:00 am from Ramstein Shell Autohof (parking fee € 7 / day) bus parking lot. 08:30 am from Kaiserslautern, Park & Ride Parking Lot Daennerplatz (near Kleber Kaserne). 09:45 am from Wiesbaden, Hainerberg, J.F. Kennedy Str. bus stop (corner Washingtonstr. near new PX). After a stop for brunch along the Autobahn, we head to the port of Rotterdam, Netherlands, where we board our ship in the afternoon. Upon arrival, we'll check into our cabins. Dinner (extra) will be served buffet-style on board, and the evening is free for you to enjoy the ship's amenities.
DAY 2:
After a full English breakfast in the ship's dining room (included), we arrive in Hull, England, around 8:00 AM. We disembark and head to York, a charming city full of history. Here, you'll have the chance to visit the iconic York Minster, explore the picturesque medieval Shambles, or learn about the Vikings at the Jorvik Viking Centre. Later, we'll continue our journey to Scotland, with an evening check-in at our downtown hotel, conveniently located near Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile.
DAY 3:
After a hearty buffet breakfast, we embark on a guided city tour of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. This stunning city is dominated by its historic Castle, which overlooks the shops and gardens of Princes Street. Highlights of the tour include the Scott Monument, George Street, Holyrood Palace, the Scottish Parliament, Arthur’s Seat, and the Royal Mile. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to shop, taste some Scotch whisky, or visit the Edinburgh Castle. For those looking for evening thrills, your guide can arrange a Ghost Tour (not included).
DAY 4:
After breakfast at the hotel (included), we set off on a full-day excursion to Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands. This picturesque town is one of Scotland's most beautiful destinations. Your guide will lead you on a walk to the Pitlochry Dam and Fish Ladder, Old Ferry Point, and the Edwardian Suspension Bridge. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Stirling Castle, the home of Robert the Bruce (entrance fee extra). Enjoy the breathtaking views from the castle and explore the site of the William Wallace Memorial and the historic battlefield. In the evening, we’ll return to our hotel in Edinburgh. For your last night in the city, you can choose to enjoy a traditional "Scottish Dinner" with music and folklore (extra cost).
Day 5:
After enjoying a delicious breakfast (included) and check out, we’ll depart from Edinburgh and begin our journey towards Alnwick, England. Once we arrive, we’ll visit the famous Alnwick Castle, renowned for its appearances as a filming location in two of the Harry Potter movies (entrance fee not included). After exploring the castle, we’ll continue our travels to Hull, where we’ll arrive and board our ship around 6:00 PM for the return voyage to the Netherlands. On board you’ll have the rest of the evening to relax, unwind, and enjoy the amenities of the ship as we set sail back.
DAY 6:
After a hearty breakfast on board (included), we will disembark at 10:00 AM and begin our day’s adventures. Our first stop will be at a charming, family-owned Dutch farm, where we’ll have the unique opportunity to watch a traditional wooden shoe-making demonstration. You’ll learn about the fascinating craft behind these iconic shoes, and also get a chance to explore the process of Dutch cheese-making. You can even taste some freshly made cheese and purchase some local Dutch souvenirs to remember the experience. Following our visit to the farm, we’ll continue our journey back to Germany, making a dinner stop along the way. We’ll arrive at our original points of departure in the late evening, bringing our journey to a close.

SINGLE CABIN/ROOM: € 400 for 5 nights. Persons booked on share basis must pay single supplement if no share is available. Share basis means double or triple occupancy.
HOTEL ROOMS: there are no triple rooms available in the hotel. Parties of 3 persons will be booked in two rooms. A single room supplement of € 250 for the 3rd person will be charged extra.
SUPPLEMENTARY COSTS: Dinner on board appr. € 35 per adult, appr. € 25 per child 4-15 (payment on board), Ghost tour appr. £ 18 per person, Scottish Folklore show with dinner and drink appr. £ 90 per adult / £ 70 per child, whisky tasting appr. £ 20 per person; entrance fee Stirling Castle appr. £ 25 per person; Alnwick Castle appr. £ 24 per person, meals, personal expenses, tips.
CHILDREN’S PRICE: Children until 11 years old pay € 50 less on adult’s price.
DOCUMENTS: Valid US Tourist Passport for military and civilian personnel. Non US-citizens must meet proper Visa requirements.

CANCELLATION CHARGES: Up to 45 days prior to departure, € 150 per person will be charged; 44 - 30 days prior to departure, 50% of the tour price will be charged; 29 - 15 days prior to departure, 75% of the tour price will be charged; 14 - 7 days prior to departure, 85% of the tour price will be charged; 6 days until day of departure 100% of the tour price will be charged.
