Day 1: Depart Frankfurt Airport at 9:20 am with Austrian Airlines via Vienna to Sibiu, Romania. Arrival at Sibiu Airport is scheduled for 3:25 pm, where you will be warmly welcomed by your local English-speaking guide. Afterward, transfer to your pre-booked 4-star hotel in Sibiu. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Your guide will be happy to recommend restaurants in the charming nearby city center for dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast and check-out, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Sibiu, a beautiful Transylvanian town in the historic region of Siebenbürgen. Named European Capital of Culture in 2007, Sibiu has long been a cultural center of the German-speaking Saxon community. Admission to the Evangelical Lutheran Cathedral of Saint Mary is included.
Following free time for lunch, continue to Sighișoara and check in at your 4-star hotel. After some time to freshen up, take a guided walk through the picturesque streets of this UNESCO-listed medieval town. The evening concludes in a traditional cellar where you will sample a selection of local brandies. Dinner is served at your hotel.
Day 3: After breakfast, depart for Brașov, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. During the sightseeing tour, visit the impressive Gothic Black Church, dating back to the 14th century and one of the city’s most important landmarks.
Later, prepare for a truly unforgettable experience at Bran Castle, famously associated with Bram Stoker’s fictional Count Dracula. Enjoy a special Halloween-themed tour featuring atmospheric audio-visual effects and live actors interacting with visitors. Dinner will be served in Bran, followed by a late-evening return to Sighișoara.
Day 4: After breakfast, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Sighișoara. Highlights include the 14th-century Clock Tower, offering panoramic views of the citadel, the Church on the Hill, and the birthplace of Vlad Țepeș (Vlad the Impaler), historically linked to the Dracula legend.
After free time for lunch, travel to Biertan to visit the impressive fortified church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The afternoon continues with a wine tasting and a charming horse-drawn carriage ride through the village. In the evening, get ready for a festive Halloween dinner at the restaurant “Vlad Dracul,” located in Dracula’s birthplace—where Count Dracula himself will make a special appearance.
Day 5: After a late breakfast and check-out, transfer to Sibiu Airport. Return flight with Austrian Airlines via Vienna to Frankfurt, with arrival in the evening at approximately 8:00 pm.
